Obedience to God wasn’t always easy for me. There were moments when His Word challenged my desires, tested my patience, and contradicted what the world said was “normal.” But as I grew in faith, I began to understand: obedience is not a burden—it’s an act of love.
Jesus said in John 14:15, “If you love me, keep my commandments.” Those words pierce deep into my heart. Obedience isn’t just about rules—it’s about relationship. When I truly love Him, I begin to want what He wants. My heart aligns with His, and even when I don’t understand His ways, I choose to trust Him.
There were times when obeying God meant letting go of something I held dear. Other times, it meant stepping out in faith even when I was afraid. But every time I obeyed, I saw His hand move. I found peace that made no sense, provision that I didn’t expect, and joy in knowing I pleased my Father.
Obedience taught me that God’s instructions are not to limit me, but to protect me and lead me into His best. Like a loving parent guiding a child away from danger, God’s commands are rooted in love. The more I obey, the more I discover the freedom that comes from surrendering my will to His.
Today, I encourage you—choose obedience even when it’s hard. Even when the world calls you foolish, or your own heart hesitates. Because in every act of obedience, there’s a seed of blessing being planted that will bloom in God’s perfect time.
