Happy New Year, everyone! I hope you had a wonderful time celebrating the end of 2023 and welcoming the new year 2024. I know I did! 😊
As we enter a new year, we may feel a mix of emotions: excitement, hope, anxiety, fear, or uncertainty. We may wonder what the future holds for us, and how we can face the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead. But I want to share with you a powerful verse from the Bible that can give us confidence and courage in any situation. It is Philippians 4:13, which says:
"I can do all things through him who strengthens me."
This verse was written by the Apostle Paul, who was one of the most influential and faithful followers of Jesus Christ. Paul experienced many hardships and difficulties in his life, such as persecution, imprisonment, shipwreck, hunger, and pain. But he also experienced many joys and blessings, such as preaching the gospel, planting churches, and seeing God's miracles.
In Philippians 4:13, Paul is not boasting about his own abilities or achievements. He is not saying that he can do anything he wants, or that he is self-sufficient or independent. He is saying that he can do all things through Christ, who gives him strength. He is saying that he relies on God's power and grace, and that he trusts in God's plan and purpose for his life.
This verse can also apply to us today, as we start a new year. We can do all things through Christ, who strengthens us. This means that:
We can face any challenge or difficulty with faith and perseverance, knowing that God is with us and for us, and that he will help us overcome.
We can pursue any goal or dream with passion and diligence, knowing that God has given us gifts and talents, and that he will guide us and equip us.
We can enjoy any blessing or opportunity with gratitude and generosity, knowing that God is the source of all good things, and that he wants us to share them with others.
We can grow in any area or aspect of our lives with humility and wisdom, knowing that God is not finished with us yet, and that he wants us to become more like Christ.
So, as we start the year 2024, let us remember Philippians 4:13, and let us say it with confidence and conviction. Let us also put it into practice, by seeking God's will, following God's word, and depending on God's strength. Let us make this year a year of growth, success, and happiness, for God's glory and our good.
I hope you enjoyed reading this blogpost, and learned something new about how to start the year with confidence. I also hope you have a great start to 2024, and that you will have a wonderful year ahead. Happy New Year! 🎉
