Devotional Message:
There were times in my life when I experienced poverty—not just the lack of money, but the pain of being overlooked, underestimated, and even judged. I used to wonder, Does God see me in this situation? But every time I opened His Word, I was reminded that God is close to the poor.
James 2:5 comforts my heart: “God has chosen the poor in the eyes of the world to be rich in faith.” I realized that poverty is not just a social status—it’s also a spiritual opportunity. It humbles me, deepens my dependence on God, and sharpens my gratitude for every blessing, no matter how small.
In a world that chases wealth, status, and power, I’ve learned that God values something far greater: faith. While I may not always have material abundance, I have the riches of God’s love, the promise of His Kingdom, and the hope of eternal life. That is wealth no one can take away.
Jesus Himself was born in a manger, walked with the poor, and had nowhere to lay His head. Yet He brought the greatest treasure—salvation. So I no longer see poverty as a curse, but as a platform. A place where God’s grace can shine brighter. A reminder that true riches are found in Him.
If you’re struggling financially or emotionally today, remember: God sees you, God values you, and God is for you. Your worth is not determined by your possessions, but by your position as a child of the King.

Heavenly Father, thank You for being near to the poor and brokenhearted. Teach me to trust You in seasons of lack. Help me to see beyond material wealth and to find joy in the riches of faith. May I never measure my life by what I have, but by who I have in You. Amen.
