Bible Passage
“But Moses said to God, ‘Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh and bring the Israelites out of Egypt?’
And God said, ‘I will be with you.’”
Exodus 3:11–12 (NIV)
Opening Prayer
Lord God, as I begin this day, open my heart to Your calling. Help me listen to Your voice and trust that You are with me, even when I feel unqualified or afraid. In Jesus name, Amen.
Daily Reflection
Moses’ life reminds me that God often calls people who feel least prepared. When God spoke to Moses from the burning bush, Moses did not respond with confidence. Instead, he responded with doubt, fear, and a deep sense of inadequacy.
Yet God did not argue Moses’ weakness—He promised His presence. Moses was not chosen because he was strong, eloquent, or fearless. He was chosen because God was willing to walk with him.
For forty years, Moses lived a quiet life as a shepherd, far from Egypt’s palaces. What seemed like wasted time was actually preparation. God was shaping Moses’ character in obscurity before using him publicly. This reminds me that God’s timing is intentional, and no season is wasted.
There are moments when God calls me to step into responsibilities that feel bigger than my abilities. Like Moses, I may ask, “Who am I?” But God’s response remains the same: “I will be with you.”
God does not wait for perfection; He looks for availability. When I depend on His presence instead of my own strength, He is able to do far more than I imagine.
A Word of Encouragement
If you feel unqualified today, take heart. God does not call the equipped—He equips the called. His presence makes the impossible possible.
Daily Challenge
Today, I will step forward in obedience, even if fear is present. I will trust God’s promise to be with me and take one faithful step where He is calling me.
Closing Prayer
Faithful God, thank You for reminding me that You are always with me. Help me trust Your calling, rely on Your strength, and obey even when I feel inadequate. Use my life for Your purpose and glory. In Jesus name, Amen.
